Conversations between people are more nourishing when we stay with what is being said and how that relates to the present. Sharing a moment with someone can help you feel more satisfied than if you engage in rote information, fact or story exchange.

There is a subtle yet important difference between laughing with someone and laughing at someone. Laughing at someone that is struggling or is in pain can be extremely damaging while laughing with someone that has said something funny is well-attuned.
Fear is an incredibly powerful motivator and it can lurk in the background or completely out of our awareness. If you find yourself feeling stuck or confused about a decision in life or how to move forward, ask yourself "Am I afraid of anything here?"
Self-efficacy, a belief that we can accomplish life's tasks with success, is an important contributor to self-esteem. In order to increase your sense of self-efficacy, try moving towards goals slowly, mindfully and by taking smaller, manageable steps.
